In the two weeks since the last DAO Committee report, five points of interest (POI) have been added to the Decentraland map, one grant proposal was approved, and 17 community polls have passed. During this period, eight new members were selected for the Wearable Curation Committee, bringing the total number of members on the committee to 14. This should decrease the time it takes to review and approve wearable submissions.

Following release of the Decentraland Foundation’s 2022 Manifesto , a Decentraland community member who received a grant in December 2022 to “Update existing VR and AR experience creator/builder to support Decentraland ” released an important update featuring a demo of VR capabilities.

The DAO has requested for a subdomain name system to be integrated into the existing avatar naming system, which utilizes ENS. This feature request has been forwarded to the foundation, however, as the 2022 roadmap has already been announced, it may fall outside the scope of their operations at this time. This Pre-Proposal Poll can be promoted to a Draft Proposal , which should include further exploration of technical implementation pathways for the community to consider. Another potential solution would be to apply for a grant to fund a community-led initiative to develop this feature.

A Pre-Proposal Poll suggesting Decentraland should join the Olympus Pro Partnership Program has passed the 500k VP threshold, and may be promoted to a Draft Proposal. This proposal should include the minimum steps required to initiate a trial run with the program, including bond pairs that will be offered, amount of capital that will be required, and any other relevant details necessary to launch the partnership.

That Point of Interest is not registered in the POI Smart Contract so it can’t be deleted by the DAO Committee. Thanks to this proposal the committee found out that legacy Point of Interests are passed into the explorer using this configuration file (arround 90 POIs). The DAO Committee has asked foundation to remove that POI from the list.

The Decentraland DAO has selected eight new members to server on the Wearables Curation Committee. These individuals have been added to the committee in this transaction . The transaction was signed by 3 members of the Security Advisory Board. The new members have been onboarded to the curation process and tools. They will start wearable curation this week.

The Decentraland DAO has voted to update the Catalyst server domain name from peer.decentraland.org to peer-ec2.decentraland.org. This decision has been implemented and will provide higher availability and security for any app depending on the Catalysts Servers
