Today, TeamViewer developers of augmented reality (AR) solutions for frontline workers announced a partnership with German software corporation SAP to integrate AR services on the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) application ecosystem.
SAP EWM is debuting TeamViewer Frontline Augmented Reality, an immersive application to assist with logistics procedures. Warehouses incorporating the AR application can expect an increase in productivity at all levels of operations.
Alfredo Patron, the Executive Vice President of Business Development at TeamViewer, added:

The service enables frontline workers to connect instantly to logistics crews, improving enterprise-wide communication on-site and for dispersed teams. Also, frontline workers connected to logistics teams receive real-time information and instructional visualisations through a pair of AR smartglasses.

Our vision picking solution significantly improves warehouse inbound and outbound processes, resulting in faster pick rates, better accuracy, and ultimately higher customer satisfaction. Moreover, it reduces the training and onboarding time of workers in a high employee churn environment.
Thanks to TeamViewer Frontline AR, workers can receive and navigate through essential assistive information hands-free, improving pick rates between 10-15 percent and massively dropping error rates.
TeamViewer for on-site workers continues to improve its service. Last year, TeamViewer updated its Salesforce AppExchange application to enhance frontline procedures. Additionally, the firm offers TeamViewer Pilot that assists frontline workforces by delivering AR instructional visualisations.
SAP Metaverse Goals
SAP acquired US fintech firm Taulia to support Metaverse supply and demand chains in January. Estimations at the time valued Taulia at less than $1 billion.
The acquisition occurred as SAP expanded into the emerging Metaverse marketplace. The German firm is aiming to support immersive B2B services, including but not limited to supply chain financing, working capital management, and immersive content distribution.
Christian Klein, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE said that the Metaverse presents “interesting B2B scenarios – think about learning, commerce and a few other business scenarios.” The CEO also added that “future announcements will explain what “SAP will do around metaverse.”
